Jack's Corner
As many of you know Jack suffered a stroke in late August. His right side was affected causing a setback in his playing and singing. Rehab is going well and he should be able to perform at the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival at Ferrum with Judy and Henry.
The object of countless prayers and well-wishes, Jack is deeply touched and grateful. He only hopes he can adequately perform to express his thanks to everyone.

An important project for Jack is working with the 12,000-girl-strong Skyline Council of the Girl Scouts
in Roanoke, VA. On behalf of the
Roanoke Valley Fiddle & Banjo Club, a 40-year-old not-for-profit, Jack designed and wrote the requirements for their Traditional Music badge seen here.
This badge was designed to encourage girls to learn about their own localle's musical traditions and cultures. In addition, the badge encourages similar organizations the the RVF&BC to sponsor a similar badge with their own logos imbedded.
Several large and small events are run by the Girl Scouts around this badge and the efforts of all the volunteers. Please check out their website for details.
